Mill Colourist and Director of DI Damien Van Der Cruyssen, teamed up with director Joe Talbot and cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra for feature film 'The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
The film made it's debut at Sundance Film Festival in January 2019 winning awards for Best Director and the Special Jury Award. Inspired by the real-life story of Jimmie Fails, who plays a fictional version of himself, The Last Black Man in San Francisco elegantly engages with a loss of cross-cultural connection as one individual seeks belonging in the new incarnation of his hometown.
