Damien Van Der Cruyssen, Mill colourist and Director of DI, joined forces with director Ty Roberts and cinematographer Mathieu Plainfossé for their most recent feature film The Iron Orchard.
Set in the late 1930’s, the film follows a young man thrust into the West Texas oil boom, following the trauma of the Great Depression. Having collaborated on previous commercial work with Plainfossé, Van Der Cruyssen was thrilled to team up with Roberts as they were keen on developing a filmic Technicolor look to enhance the already beautifully shot film.
The film made it's festival rounds in 2018, claiming numerous nominations and official selections. The film will be hitting theaters on February 22nd.
