The Mill is part of an inter-agency team alongside Mother, who led the creative for Amnesty International's 'The Secret Policeman's Ball' held on March 4th. The event saw some of the world's top comedy and music acts including Coldplay, Russell Brand, Mumford and Sons and Jon Stewart for the annual comedy-music extravaganza. 2012 marks the charity's 50th anniversary so as part of the celebrations, the event was held for the first time ever across the Atlantic at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

mcbess, our multi-talented animator-designer-director, created the character design and directed all the animation elements for the Ball - from the Facebook image to a series of stylish and witty online video virals promoting the event.

The inter-agency team who delivered the campaign includes The Mill/mcbess, Potato, Splendid Communications Minassian Media, Live Union, Control Room, Divesified and VYou.
The event is being screened in the UK on Channel 4 at 10pm on Friday 9th March.
