The four spots - 'Parking Deck', 'Pothole', 'Tree Limb', and 'Fender Bender' - are irresistibly funny thanks to The Mill's clever and subtle anthropomorphising of a couple of garage pipes, a pothole, two tree branches, and a car fender, all of whom damage a vehicle then try to talk their way out of trouble in marvellously characterful and perfectly synched voices.

"It was a fine line between realism and comedy," says The Mill Flame artist Gavin Wellsman, who worked closely with the Martin Agency's creatives and Smuggler director Randy Krallman to strike just the right balance. "The characters have to come alive through the CG mouths. If we'd pushed them too far they would have become too cartooney."
