Our lead flame artist Adam Lambert explains more: "The key to getting this promo out the door was planning and preparation. We had about thirty green screen shots that all needed to be comped , and the directors were very particular in what they wanted their vision to look like, so creating setups that could then be altered and reused was the way to go."

"Whilst the comps were being done I had an army of people creating mattes for me. The mattes were extremely important and had to be perfect in how we comped the shots. Florence's dress was see-through at points and to really sell the reality of her being on a roof the translucency of the dress had to be perfect.

"To make the falling shots more visually stimulating we added flickers and camera shakes, as well as atmosphere. This really set the shots off and created an urgency and pace.

"One of the main difficulties we found in comping these shots was the grain. The promo was shot on 16mm and because of this the mattes were not very easy to pull, one way we found around this was to degrain the image and use the flat ungraded footage, this allowed us to pull nice keys that allowed the hair and dress to look realistic and sit in with the background."

Once all of this was done Mill colourist James Bamford then gave the video is beautiful grade, adding to the promo's almost celestial mood. "The look is a cross-processed look, with varying degrees of strength. Strongest when she is running away and least when she is on the roof, but all following the similar brief of reversal," added James.
