The 20/21 home shirt for Man Utd features some distinctive yellow and black horizontal lines weaved into the classic red thread of the shirt. For this kit reveal film, Adidas and agency TMS were keen for us to communicate the origins of these new design elements, taking inspiration from the embroidered threads of the Man Utd badge itself. In their own words, "This is not just a simple jersey, it is a tapestry of memories and emotion passed from one generation to the next."
In response we created a fast paced reveal film that dives through the badge and inside the shirt to depict a number of memorable footballing highlights from this last season. Once inside the kit, every bit of action, from incredible goals to knee sliding celebrations, is made from colourful threads that flicker and shift with energy and emotion.
