Accompanied by a soft-spoken Portuguese voice over and a synthesiser backing; the spot succeeds in transporting the viewer through the tropical landscapes, sandy beaches and urban spaces of a multicultural Rio de Janeiro. The commercial centres around six young people, all navigating their way through different life terrains while still allowing past generations to inform their ability to enjoy the present and each other.
Colourist Thomas Mangham states: “I wanted to capture the feeling of being in Rio. To do this we worked the green and warmer hues into the grade and tried bringing out the florescent lighting where possible. After adding a touch of 35mm grain we ended up with a really nice filmic feel to the film.”
