The spot begins by inferring that ‘the match’ the protagonist is looking for is a romantic one, which only serves to heighten the emotion when the viewer discovers that she was instead looking for a bone marrow match to save her life.
Mill London Head of Colour Seamus O’Kane explains ‘The carefully observed scenes were allowed to retain the subtle differences of natural light, and where possible we pushed individual tones to add emphasis and impact. There was a deliberate intention to heighten the palette as the euphoria of a successful match is reached and this provides a shocking contrast to the immediately following flashback of the girl at her lowest point. This was an extremely interesting and thoughtful piece to grade.’
