The filmmaking collective Traktor, renowned for their funny and often freaky films, worked with Mother NY and The Mill NY to create a fantasy factory of pristine cogs, pipes, lifts, turbines and conveyor belts, even a dancing robot and elephant-foot presses.

"The Mill team first created a CG factory and put in the FG greenscreen plate, matching the lens and camera position," explains lead Flame, Alex Lovejoy. "We then added the machines, pipes and fun colourful objects. We could then frame any camera angle without having to make individual matte paintings. And for the foreground," Alex adds "all the conveyor belts, goo and coloured cubes being flattened and sliced were created in 3D. We designed, modelled, textured and rendered the entire spot in just over a week."
