The spot follows moustachioed, shorts-wearing frontman hops in a vintage race car, which travels between different backgrounds that have been composited in – including a castle wall, a high street and the Thatchers farm itself, which was filmed on location but had many props replaced.
Shoot Supervisor and 2D Lead Artist Andrew ‘Barnsley’ Wood explains ‘We changed the tyres on the car to look like a formula 1 racer. As the tyres were spinning at the start of the spot, we needed to add burning rubber with Houdini particle smoke. We had to change the skies to make the weather consistent. There were a couple of shots where the background made it look like the car was in front of a castle, where the background was filmed at a different location and had to be stripped in. The caravan procession was also entirely CG.’
