The Mill's 2D team, led by Jay Bandlish, worked closely with Chris to replicate a vast number of appliances that had been shot in live action. They managed this through  compositing live action plates, seamlessly producing large numbers of dancing electricals. The initial movements of each appliance were shot using motion control and then timed out to the sound track of the award winning film The Artist. The 3D team also create extensive environment expansions in CG.

The film had to be tightly pre-visualized such that practical rigs could be made on a tight schedule and to allow us to plan an involved VFX shoot efficiently. Then liberal amounts of movie magic to make the whole thing feel real and effortless.''
