This Christmas, Currys PC World have ‘upgraded’ a traditional Victorian Christmas with all the essentials of modern technology.

The interruptions made by drones, televisions and tablets in shots reminiscent of our favourite Christmas films is what gives this particular video its charm. Within the Victorian scenes, the incorporation of modern-day technology is quite striking: we see young children carolling in the streets using tablets, men travelling both in carriages and on hoverboards, and even a woman ignoring her Scrooge-like husband’s grumbling through the use of noise-cancelling headphones.

2D Lead Artist Brad Wood says of this spot ‘We always love working on films that look great when they come into the building. The sets and the atmosphere make this spot feel so genuine. Working with practical snow effects helped keep that authenticity that the contrasting comedy beats rely on.’
