Upon receiving a call from the Halifax bank ‘just over the bridge, next to the haunted hotel’ Janine sends over her ghost busting team to collect their new contactless bank cards, ending in a not so friendly ghost encounter.
Mill 2D Lead Artist Andrew ‘Barnsley’ Wood explains ‘This time around, the Mill’s VFX team were brought on board with the task of seamlessly incorporating Halifax bank manager and hero ‘Greg’ in the classic 1984 film Ghostbusters.
This job proved more difficult than prior Halifax job ‘Wizard of Halifax’, as that job was filmed on a locked set, whereas this shoot required multiple camera angles and movements to make up the backgrounds. Due to licensing agreements not all characters could be used for this spot, which meant painstakingly superimposing Greg in just the right places at just the right times.
Our final slime shot was made using in-house slime made by our very own runner team. The team made up about 5 gallons of gooey green slime which was thrown against a glass wall to create the illusion that the camera screen had been splattered’.
