Combining CG models of the chicken's head with live action shots, The Mill's VFX team created a talking chicken by animating it's beak movement to the voice over while applying matching textures and feathers to blend the beak into live actions plates.
CG Lead artist Emily Meger comments "In order to duplicate the unique motions of the chicken's wattles, the team built a rig that had both dynamic and manual controls to precisely animate it's movements."
The spot was finished with a clean grade by Mill colourist Josh Bohoskey.
