Sal says "The main reference we were given by Terence and DP Sean Peters was the moody look used in the movie 'The Assassination of Jesse James'. Everything had been filmed in overcast light so we played off of the soft light that this created and graded the night time firelight footage to be cool while still preserving the warmth of the various skin tones. The end result gave the very rich tone we wanted to achieve."
