Promoting Virgin Media's top box, the V6, this dynamic new spot features characters from a range of shows available on the TV platform dancing to the Missy Elliott track 'We Run This'.

The V6 box is 4K-ready, allowing users to record six channels simultaneously while downloading or streaming a seventh, and allows multi-screen viewing on mobile devices.

Commenting on the unique set of challenges this job presented, VFX Supervisor Ben Turner says 'Ross, worked very closely with Frederick to create some stunning concept stills to really give a feel for for the piece. The main goal was to create a "live" theatrical performance in camera as much as possible.'

As Art Director Ross Urien notes, 'the original idea behind the designs was to give not only a graphical stenography to the scenes but also a device between the dancers the "box world" that can works fluidly from one scene to scene.'

Ben Turner further explains, 'the concepts were then developed in Afterfx and 3D to realize this as a moving image. We took this on set along with Antony who set up a Mill studio where we could continue to develop the details as the dance performance started to help inform more of how the LED screens should react.

The set build was quite epic, with over 600 individual LED screens being driven by our graphics. I would like to think this really helped the performers get into character more than they would if they were doing this in front of a green screen, and naturally we were able to capture interactive lighting in camera.

In post-production we augmented and embellished some of the screens that were shot to help the edit flow, and bring some life out of the screen in places.'
