Directed by Bryce Wymer for Mill+, HP’s latest spot sheds light on Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s efforts in advancing technology for the mission to Mars.
"'Astronaut' pays homage to the unbelievable work of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and being able to develop and design some of the initial installment of brand videos was an honor. The main objective was to create a unique, filmic approach that allowed us to tell rich branded stories within a very short amount of time", says Wymer.
With a quick turnaround, The Mill's 2D team was able to bring the Astronaut's suit to life and add crucial atmospherics. The lighting techniques were used throughout the film reveal the 'hero' and supplement the narrative with a 'what's next' dynamic to the astronaut’s story.
Wymer adds, "The key to the success of the Astronaut narrative was casting a young girl that truly embodies the future of NASA’s space travel program. She is a confident child, with an amazing amount of presence and charisma. You can see in her eyes that she is destined for greatness. And her smile can level a room."
