Beginning with the square button symbol, the ad then moves into various streams of play, each appearing on the screen in quick succession to explore the dynamic nature of the package and the power in the hands of the user.
The ad features a mixture of bold graphic design work and real gaming footage, paying homage to FILFURY’s unique ability to create collage effects and cleverly mix content.
Mill+ director FILFURY explains, ‘This was a really exciting project to be a part of. Working with a very talented team of C4D 3D, AE and Nuke creatives, this required a real team effort.
Our approach celebrates the PlayStation Plus offering, giving each feature clarity, whilst keeping the adrenaline pumping. We didn’t want this to feel like a hard sell, we wanted this to be exciting, dramatic and playful. Mesmerising graphic transitions and electrifying energy surges, meet a slick and stylish design landscape.
The treatment screamed out for something special with the lightning electric look, especially in contrast to the empty black environments. The development of electric stroke took some time to craft, as we wanted to get its behaviour with just the right amount of buzz. A particle system was designed to do just that and give us some definition to its path and trail.
The desire was to give subtle definition to an object's form, with high gloss reflective textures and beautiful lighting. Marry this with a backdrop that allows for sparks of colour energy to light the scene and illuminate the narrative. Power drives the experience.Power up your play,’
