In the making of Mule, The Mill sought to test the limits of how close objects and characters could come toward the viewer through intricate 360 stitching and compositing, resulting in a sense of intimacy and invasion of personal space. Additional VFX flourishes, including a psychedelic, CG-enabled journey through a “tunnel of death,” were also provided. The film was colour graded by The Mill’s Gregory Reese.
