Cars.com hit the Super Bowl twice this year. With a clever approach on how to learn from other people's mistakes, DDB Chicago's game-time ad, 'Go First', delighted viewers. Mid-way through the spot The Mill's FX team constructed a comically distorted body, the product of an experiment gone wrong. The CG highlight, 'Reviews Are In,' boasts a fully photo-real set of computer generated cars often anthropomorphic in demeanor.

The challenge was to make the cars look authentic, while still giving them the behavior and movement of individual characters. Finding that balance and not getting too cartoon-like was a real feat for CG Lead Artist Robert Sethi and his team.
