Jeff explains, “As soon as we got the script from Derrick Ogilvie and the BBDO team, we loved it. We had a lot of fun coming up with all the visual treatments we could give these goofy comparisons. Our original designs included a balance of photographic elements and hand-drawn illustrations. From an animated George Washington bill to a Chicago Style hot dog, we took this mixed-media approach to the “cut-out style” animation look we wanted to achieve.
“The majority of the illustrations came to life through cel-animation. Cinema 4D was used to animate George Washington, the coins on the counter and to generate some of the radiating brush strokes. From there we brought all of these disparate elements together in After Effects and introduced a series of transitions throughout the spot.”
Who wouldn’t want their own hotdog vendor? What would you do if you won with a buck or two?
