The Mill’s team of VFX artists worked closely with Freedman and Johannes Leonardo to realize their creative vision by crafting a fully CG thumbs up rocket to demonstrate Sonnet’s ultimate optimism. Taking inspiration from real NASA rocket launches, the 2D and 3D teams scoured hours of footage to ensure every aspect of their CG launch was accurate, including simulating realistic levels of dust, debris and condensation, before seamlessly compositing each element together to create an epic final take off.
