Directed for the second year running by Tim Godsall of Biscuit Filmworks, this spot features a man sporting a winnfield mustache, getting shampooed in a salon with a drink in hand. to the smooth grooves of Lou Johnson's 'The Beat'. Halfway through, he puts on his glasses, checks out a woman across the salon, leans back, closes his eyes, and rests a glass of Southern Comfort on his leg.

The campaign is all about getting consumers to "be their awesome selves". The tagline 'Whatever's Comfortable' is rendered on a CG miniature epic red flag sitting in the man's drink, waving royally in the wind. 

Jade Kim, 2D Lead Artist, said of working on the campaign, "It doesn't happen very often that you genuinely laugh every time you watch your work, from the day you conform to the moment you master. We focused on making the flag look bold and iconic, but also within the soft and retro feeling of the film."  

The spot has been a roaring success, winning a slot as Ad Week's 'Ad of the Day' recently and is just one in a series of Southern Comfort commercials being released throughout the year. Tune in for more soon.
