For the first time ever, The Mill's summer party in NYC was Not at The Mill, moving uptown to light up New York's West Side. Partygoers danced the night away to the musical selections of dj/producer Stretch Armstrong and surprise guest Cody ChesnuTT. Attendees also had the chance to capture their evening (and their aura) with the debut of The Motion Aura Machine™, a Mill and Digital Air collaboration in re-imagining the photo booth.
Held at the beautiful Hudson Terrace
, the roof decks were packed with dancing partygoers enjoying the gorgeous vista views of the Hudson River and the impressive Intrepid Museum
The Motion Aura Machine
and Digital Air
collaborated to re-imagine the photo booth experience, creating the first ever Motion Aura Machine™
. Brave guests stepped inside to have their inner aura's revealed, producing a transportive, theatrical and fun experience unlike anything else.
Over 70 different 360 degree light painted backgrounds and three part ‘fortunes’ were created and auto-magically composited and published over sequences captured by a custom 48 camera rig to the Motion Aura Tumblr
on the fly to create a wholly unique spin on portraiture.
And for more photos from the party, here
is a reminder of the night's festivities.
A great big thank you to everyone who made the Not at The Mill summer party a memorable night on the Hudson.
